James R. Moder Roots and History

The Moder dynasty originated from Austria – and that Eastern Europe, which was the creative melting pot of innovative crystal chandelier design. Since their inauguration over 250 years ago, they became firmly established as a world leader in crystal chandelier design with their patented J.R.M. Regal™ method of cutting crystal by hand. They have now been firmly established in the USA for 45 years as of present.

Leading Technology and Innovation

Always at the cutting edge of technology, the Moder Company is continually improving and adapting their design standards to include and ensure the highest quality forms of crystal and the chandelier construction. To ensure these standards, they now principally use Swarovski crystals (also from Austria) and particularly the finest Swarovski Strass and the slightly cheaper Spectra quality brands. Their full range accommodates up to 3 other different types of crystal, which are not Swarovski: The Imperial range, which is a high quality product obtained from Europe or Egypt; their own hand-cut Regal and a Venetian Budget quality.

The Numerous Ranges of Styles

Their present range numbers to around 100 different general designs with each having a variety of styles.

The Broadway is a more contemporary design, which is proving a popular style.
