Another interesting debut at the recent Milan Design Week exhibition was this LED chandelier from the design board of Ingo Maurer. This slightly contemporary design features 9 LED light panels arranged in a somewhat convex manner. As a feature, it leaves its design structure exposed and viewable from above with no additional casing. I suppose it will mostly not be seen, but I wouldn’t have called it its most attrative viewing angle. Fortunately, it would most likely not be seen.
From that point, it could be seen as a further “green” design by minimizing the containing structural or ‘market packaging’ aspects. From below, and from where most people will be viewing it, I think it works well as a futuristic design, as its name, Double C-Future, indicates. It’s certainly great that OLED products and technology is
really starting to flow freely into the open lighting market.
